Worship is not just a program we sit through, but a personal, real experience of being in God’s presence to adore, thank and praise Him! Our Worship service may be different from what you are used to, but we practice Biblical worship. The Bible says much about singing, clapping, playing instruments, raising hands, kneeling, rejoicing, dancing, prophesying, and even shouting to praise God. We are to enter into worship with liveliness, and it is also to be in good order. For Biblical references on worship, see the pamphlet: “Why We Worship the Way We Do” on the brochure rack. The Bible shows that God wishes to minister to His people with various gifts of the Holy Spirit. (see I Corinthians 12-14). The “Gifts” are “manifestations” of different ways the Holy Spirit speaks and moves through people to minister to His people. The Holy Spirit is given to the church forever and Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. Hebrews 13:8 |
