MINISTRIES: PROPHETIC

Any Church that wishes to be true to the Scriptures must become familiar and active with the Gifts of the Holy Spirit.  One of the gifts that our church experiences is Prophecy.  Here one of many scriptures where the Lord tells the church to prophesy:

Make love your aim, and desire earnestly spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy…. one who prophesies speaks to men for edification and exhortation and consolation…. one who prophesies edifies the church.  Now I wish that you all spoke in tongues, but even more that you would prophesy;…so that the church may receive edifying.  I Corinthians 14:1-5

We are seeking and applying all that the Holy Spirit desires to do in our church, so we will have prophetic words in our services.  Our prayer teams pray prophetically every Sunday for anyone who is seeking for healing or guidance.  We are seeing prophets being
raised up.  

We also have “The School of the Prophets" which are workshops which teach what the Bible says about prophecy led by Rev. Tom Stamman.  Tom is an evangelist who functions in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, particularly Prophecy and the Word of Knowledge.  Tom usually preaches and teaches then will minister to individuals.  Functioning in the spirit he speaks to what is happening in a person's life during or after the meetings.  Many testimonies have been shared about how powerfully these words have been.  Only God could know what is in a person's heart and he often speaks to those hidden needs.

Tom comes to OBF on a monthly basis.  We usually try for the 4th Thursday of every month, but sometimes due to schedule conflicts that changes; so call before you come.
